libfile-tail-perl software package provides File::Tail perl module, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-tail-perl
libfile-tail-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-tail-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-tail-perl *
You will get with libfile-tail-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
